Meeting notes without a bot in the call
Nobody new joins the call. Wisper Back records your mic and the call’s audio on your Mac, writes a live transcript, and hands you the notes when it ends.
Two voices.
Two inks.
Wisper Back records both sides of a call, writes it down as you talk, and hands you the notes when you hang up.

Listening
Saved when you hung up
When you join a call, the notch asks once. Click Record, or ignore it.
How it works
Join a Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or FaceTime call and the notch offers “Record meeting?”. Recording stops when you leave the call.
The audio is recorded on your Mac, then transcribed. The transcript labels who’s speaking, keeps “You” separate, and drops the echo of the call your mic picks up.
What you get after
A summary with the platform and the people named, then:
- Key points and decisions
- Action items, with who said they’d do them
- Open questions and next steps
- The full transcript. Hear the notes read out, or copy them
Out of your screen share
One click on the eye in the meeting bar hides the notch from screen shares and recordings. It stays hidden until you show it again.

Ask first
Recording laws differ by place, and some need everyone’s consent. Tell people when you’re recording. Wisper Back never records unless you click Record.
Questions
Does a bot join my meeting?
No. Nothing joins the call. Wisper Back records the audio on your Mac, so the other people only see you.
Which call apps does it work with?
It offers to record when you join Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or FaceTime calls.
Does it work offline?
No. Transcription and notes need an internet connection.
Can my team share meetings?
Yes. Share a meeting with your team, or record together: on the same call or in the same room, you get one transcript with everyone named.
Can I transcribe a recording I already have?
Yes. Right-click an audio or video file in Finder → Services → Transcribe with Wisper Back. The transcript is copied and saved to Notes.
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later) on macOS 14 or newer. There is no Windows, iPhone or Android app.
Nothing listens
until you hold fn.
Hold it. That’s the only way the mic turns on.
- The microphone opens only while you talk or record a meeting.
- Your history stays on your Mac.
- What you send to be read aloud isn’t kept.
Free to start. Mac with Apple silicon, macOS 14 or later.
