Wisper Back vs Wispr Flow
Both turn speech into clean text in any app. Wispr Flow is dictation on every device you own. Wisper Back is dictation and narration on your Mac. Similar names, different companies.
Pick Wispr Flow if you also dictate on Windows, iPhone or Android, or your company needs SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA.
Pick Wisper Back if you’re on a Mac and also want text read to you, coding agents that talk back, or dictation that works offline.
Your agent finishes.
You hear about it.
Hand off a fix and go back to what you were doing. When the turn ends, Wisper Back reads it out. Hold fn to answer.
Works with Claude Code, Codex and T3 Code.
Thanks, ship it before the demo.
Something Flow doesn’t do: your coding agent tells you what it did, and you answer by voice.

Questions
Is Wisper Back made by Wispr Flow?
No. The names are close, but the companies aren’t related. Wisper Back is made by Bishal Banerjee, an independent developer.
Can I use both?
Yes. Give each its own dictation shortcut so they don’t both start when you press fn.
Can I bring my Wispr Flow dictionary?
Not automatically. Add your words in Wisper Back’s vocabulary, or fix a word once after dictating and it’s learned.
Does Wispr Flow work offline?
No. On desktop it keeps recording and saves the audio, and you can transcribe it from History once you’re back online.
