I refactored the authentication flow to use short-lived access tokens with refresh-token rotation, moved the rate limiter from the app layer to the edge, and removed the deprecated /login endpoint in favor of /session. All 214 tests pass. The one migration risk is any mobile client still calling /login directly — ship a deprecation header for two releases first. Staging has been green since Tuesday across all six services.

We show that small, task-specialized fine-tunes consistently outperform much larger general-purpose models on narrow classification and extraction tasks, at roughly a fortieth of the inference cost. Performance is highly sensitive to data quality: below approximately one thousand clean, well-labeled examples, accuracy degrades sharply and the advantage disappears.
